First of many 21sts to come...=]

Had a meet up with a few of my old friends today...courtesy of 2 friends who invited me to their 21st birthdays!

One is a friend from class, someone I got to know back in my secondary school days, lost contact for a while, and recently talked to after she invited me to join in an activity organised for students..
Another is a friend I got to know during my bus trips to school in sec sch..and got closer to during my JC days..

Really grateful for their invitations...if not for that, I'd not have the chance to have a good, albeit short chat with some of my ex classmates. Wanted to stay longer and talk, but I guess there wasn't much time...hehe...=P

Nevertheless I guess my most memorable chat tonight was with Amanda n Wini at Judd's chalet n also on the taxi...we talked about our sec sch days...those memorable times we shared as fellow bus mates...the bus drivers we saw each morning, how the erratic bus timings have not changed over the years n also how we've enjoyed those times when the bus was filled only w pple from our school... ...
hehe...those were truly great times!I don't think I can forget them for a long time to come...

Sleepy...till the next time then!

The old has gone...the new has come! 2Cor5:17b

Goodbye 2006...
Hallo 2007!

Yesh i know...ur asking,"Ven!!It's already the 4th day alr lo...still hallo-ing?"
WELLS...like they say,"Better late than never!"...it is, after all, still January!hehe...

Yeps, 8th Jan is when I officially start the second semester of my second year in school...when I look forward to new syllabi, new tutorial mates, new lecturers, new books...

and most importantly, a new attitude!
Will be needing more discipline and self control in studying...this is one big area which I failed in for the past two semesters. I failed many times, giving in to tiredness, neckaches, hunger pangs and whatever excuse I could find just to escape from having the much needed breakthrough in getting out from my comfort zone to understand new things...even things that I may not have an interest in.

Tt just about sums up my first resolution for the new year! To have a better attitude towards my studies...and to achieve better grades.

YAY!!!
My holidays start today!

What I mean, ladies n gentlemen...is that my exams are finally over...!!!!Hallelujah!=]

Phew...

Had the urge to just plonk down and sleep on the floor of the Multi purpose hall after my paper today...in fact, I would've if not for the fact that I was already on my way back to the engine classroom...

Yeps! And so...my 5weeks holiday starts today...and the clock is ticking...and I've already spent the last 3 hours watching Return of the King (still brings tears to my eyes...aww...), figuring out how to make the router work with my bro...and doing some planning for my holidays...

Many activities lined up for the 5 wks! Lotsa packing up...catching up and work...I can't wait! But before I start I really gotta get down to make a list and start planning...lest my weeks get whiled away again...like every other school holiday since I graduated from primary school...

Gotta get cracking! But before tt...the bed beckons... ... ...time for a well earned rest!=]

+*+*On a side note...gonna get my phone back tomorrow!Which means...more photo taking once again...hehe...

Look ma! Long long nails!

Finally Finally...my two fingers with longs nails are put to good use...
Managed to realise part of my dream of learning a guitar some day yesterday!hehe...took the chance to 'kajiao' my bros at the staircase after today's paper to have a short rest and to recharge...

2 things I learnt:
-the basic rhythm for strumming a praise song
-G-note!hehe..

I learnt a few things about myself during the course of learning these few guitaring skills as well...need to be careful and take note as these are potential road-blocks on my learning journey:
1 siansation(nua)...tt comes when I'm thrown with challenges to improve my skills
2 pride pride pride...tt comes creeping in when pple offer their comments and advice...
3 impatience...when nothing is happening after so long, I gotta wait and trust tt what I'm doing now is beneficial to me in the long run...",)

Yeps~
It's always fun to learn something new!and even more so when it's something tt I've been wanting to learn for so long...but I've been holding back this desire cos of manymany reasons...parental objections and other commitments being two of those...

Anywayz,it's back to studies! 2 more papers to go...before...holidays!=]

Thoughts...

That same twinge of guilt hit me again...of not updating my blog for the past few months...

This was followed by excitement, and the flurry of acitivity as I revved myself up to prepare for a new blog, complete with a new template and a new tagboard to mark a new beginning in my personal blogging era...

After hours of searching on blogskins, I was down to a few choices. This was followed by lots of html induced headaches as I tried to change the layouts to suit my fancy, while my heart screamed: Ven, wasn't programming bad enough for you??!! Where do your loyalties lie?? What happened to all those complaints?

**Speaking of programming, I scored much better for this module than my other two engineering core modules...ironic! hmph...

Oh well...and so...presenting my quote new beginning in my personal blogging era unquote, complete with old layout n tagboard! The only new thing is probably this new entry! =]

Ah...at least some change...

Anyhowz, my results this semester were definitely less than satisfactory! My best was only a B and my worst a C+...After some self reflection, I realised my bad results were due to a combination of bad study methods and bad time management...coupled with my laziness and lack of interest in my engine modules...

Still, it could have been worse! Thank God I managed to pass the first year, pass my programming and ee and phy n maths modules...when I think back to all those practical sessions I missed for programming, all the tutorials I gave up doing...

It's only by Your grace and mercy...and I don't wanna take it for granted.

On a side note, I have an interest in upgrading my blog and making it more personal! Anyone who has discovered the joys of html...please do help me!=] I would really appreciate it!

Wanted to upload some pictures...but I'm really busy now! So...next time ba...=]
